Here is the recruitment policy we have now put into place
Diverse Concepts Recruitment Policy
Diverse Concepts welcomes vehicles that range from mildly modified to wild. Our members are passionate automotive enthusiasts. Diverse Concepts works hard to create a team/family atmosphere for all of its members. We partner with vendors and other industry sources for the benefit of the whole team. We hold our members to very high standards of public behavior, as well as requiring their vehicles be in a clean and undamaged condition. Extreme professionalism is required by our members when dealing with other teams, vendors, sponsors and individuals in person, and on internet forums. You are always representing Diverse Concepts, even when you do not realize it. By submitting your application for membership you are agreeing to uphold our stance against street-racing and participate in all Diverse Concepts events. The following outlines the requirements for becoming a member of Diverse Concepts:
( A ) Honesty: Honesty must be applied not only to business relationships but also personal ones. Nothing can be built on lies, and neither can Diverse Concepts. We will not tolerate liars, cheaters, or anyone that can not follow this rule, without honesty, we have nothing. This applies not only to our team members, sponsors, and supporters, but anyone within the Diverse Concepts organization.
( B ) Team Dedication: To be successful, as a team we must give it everything we have. Our team is regional, so it is very difficult for only one or two members to keep track of the whole team. Currently, we are 19 members strong and growing. Our individual members must be have constant communication with all other members via our forums. All members of Diverse Concepts must display our logo on either your front or rear windshield and/or have it in two (2) other visible places on your vehicle. This is a key aspect to being apart of Diverse Concepts. Every vehicle must have a windshield banner at every show.
( C ) Show Participation: Our members are unique in that they work in various places and have varying careers. Diverse Concepts requires that members show in a minimum of five (5) shows annually. Although a majority of our members will definitely do more than this, we require each member to show in at least five (5). It is good practice to post your individual show schedule on our forums, we due this so members can keep in contact with each other and are able to meet and show together. When attending shows we make every effort to roll in together, so it is important that all members make it to the scheduled meeting place(s) promptly so we can leave for the show together and on time. Remember, if you are early, you are on time, if you are on time you are late. Again, Diverse Concepts decals and shirts are a must at all shows.
( D ) Your Vehicle: Must be unique and stand out from the crowd. This doesn’t necessarily mean you must have a 10 piece wide body kit to be considered for membership, but it does mean that your car must be clean and look good enough to grab the attention of others. We are open to any make and model of vehicles, both foreign and domestic. Each car is evaluated individually by the recruitment council. Here are some of the major categories we will consider when evaluating potential member’s vehicles:
(1) Exterior: This is the most important aspect of the car. This is the first part that everyone sees. Here we look for clean vehicles with modifications that might include: custom paint & body work, body kit, lip kits, carbon fiber parts, custom rims, custom suspension (lowered or raised), big brakes, strut bars, vinyl graphics, etc. We also check to make sure that the parts were installed correctly.
(2) Interior: We are looking for vehicles that might have these modifications: custom seats, carpets, and/or headliners, aftermarket gauges, seatbelt harnesses, and lighting. We also check for creativity. Installation quality is very, very important. We would rather have cars with less modifications that are well executed, than shelf bought parts that are just thrown into the car
(3) In-Car-Entertainment (I.C.E.): Your car does not necessarily have to be able to compete with a Manufacturers car to be considered for membership. Vehicles need to have a quality sound system. Judges cater to individuals with DVD players, monitors, custom fiberglass enclosures, and high end components. More is good, but clean looking and sounding, properly working, and functioning systems are better.
(4) Performance: The cleanliness of the engine bay is very important. We look for vehicles that might have these modifications: aftermarket turbo, built internals, aftermarket clutch, nitrous system, chrome and/or powder coated parts, or a performance radiator. We also check for a color scheme, does your engine bay flow, or is it many different colors and looks mismatched?
( E ) Team Dues and Probationary Period: Existing Diverse Concepts members are required to pay dues ($25 per year), due March 1st of each year, they are also responsible for making their renewal payments on time. New members are required to pay a $100.00 membership fee in order to join Diverse Concepts. $75 of this pays for the club windshield decal and your Diverse Concepts shirt, $25 helps to cover web development and hosting, this is due at the time of joining. Memberships are effective as soon as you pay your fees. Also, we require each perspective member to be on a one month minimum probation period. For perspective members that come during show season we also require you to show in at least one show with Diverse Concepts before your membership is official. This lets other member meet the perspective member and see their car in person. This also helps us evaluate you as an individual in a show setting. Each car and situation is different, so probation length depends on each perspective member’s individual situation. Please do not let time or the current status of your car deter you from inquiring about membership.
